The Most Popular Things To Sell On Ebay

Buying things to sell on Ebay

I've looked around for quite a few years now for places to buy the hottest items to
sell on Ebay and to be honest I've not really had much success because trying to
buy ipods or ps3's there just isn't a great amount of profit in those sort of items.
I've found suppliers who sell them but the quantity I can afford to buy (10 to 20)
just doesn't get me a great discount, but at least I found legitimate suppliers who
sell them. I now try to source other products that offer more and I mean much
more profit so that I don't have to sell and package as many items.  A guy called
Andrew Minalto has some really great ideas and information on how to identify
what to source and more importantly where to buy it, he also provides absolutely
brilliant templates for you to use on ebay to make you look more professional
when selling whatever you choose to sell.

I guess most of the information so far on this blog is aimed at small to middle sized businesses, but what most people don't realise is that you can just as easilly do it in your spare time and from home.

Look into it guys its certainly worth while and make some cash today I was speaking to a young lad on a forum I frequent and he was telling me that he was selling small items on Ebay and making £1 profit per item.
I said to him that was great, but making just a few quid might be ok for a kid (he's only 14) but not for someone trying to pay some bills. Then he said that he was selling on average, 300 items per month. Thats when I started paying more attention, I mean £300 extra per month in your spare time isn't bad at all. I
mean how hard can it be ? if a 14 year old can do it then so could you and I. So give it a go and see how much extra cash you can make.

Well I hope evrybody enjoyed their day at the trade show and I hope you found
yourselves loads of news suppliers. Anyway just thought I'd pass on the web address
of a company I've used a few times to buy stock to sell on Ebay.

The company sells random stuff, I think they buy surplus stock from all
over the country. Keep an eye on them and you'll find a few gems now and
again.

Drakus.com a useful little website, good luck.

I forgot to say that the Venue is Olympia Exhibition Centre, London.

So get yourselves along there and grab some great suppliers Oh! and
bargains as well. Remember and get a copy of the show guide
(might cost a few quid) but it is well worth it because it usually
lists all the suppliers contact details.

Enjoy and Please provide some feedback as I'm always veery interested
to hear how people get on.

Wholesale lots, where do you find small wholesale lots to buy ?

The best place I've seen to buy small wholesale lots is some of
these Chinese websites, but be very careful and don't even try to
buy branded products otherwise you will get into trouble.

I know somebody will be shouting that all these branded products
are produced in China anyway so why can't you buy them direct ?

Well the Brand owners controll where their products are sold from,
so the factories will not risk selling without permission of the
brand owners. But you do get lots and lots of copies kicking about
so stay well clear.

Good websites to visit are:

www.aliexpress.com
www.lightinthebox.com

Both sites allow you to buy in small volume, enjoy!!

A couple of really good trustworthy websites if you want to try dropshipping

www.hardwareheroes.co.uk
www.wholesale-district.com

Both provide a service you'll be amazed at, the second link is shipped
direct from China so you'll have to wait 7 days or so for delivery.

The first one ships only from the UK so your customers will get the
product quickly. Try them out you will not be disappointed.

Come back here and let everybody else know how you got on

Another idea to save yourself some money.

Whilst your at the trade show looking for new suppliers, don't forget to ask
if they will ship direct to your customers. This is commonly known as
dropshipping, where a supplier will take an order from you and process
the order by shipping direct to your customers address. So basically you
pay your supplier £10 for an item you've just sold to your customer for
£21, that is £11 clear profit just for placing the order, not bad eh!!

Look here if your interested in dropshipping

Not all wholesale suppliers advertise this service, but do offer it if
you simply ask.

This can't be, I hear you say! well its true, loads of really big retail
outlets have their supplier ship packages direct to their customers,
because it saves them money. They don't have to store these items meaning
they dont need the storage space which costs money in itself. The biggest
saving to you is pure and simple, you dont pay your supplier until your
customer has paid you first. Of course this only works when you're selling
online but I'm sure you understand that anyway.

Give it a go after all, if you don't ask you don't get.

Goodluck

Everybody is always looking for branded products and the strange
thing is, they seem to think that PS3's,ipod's,DSI's and all the
other latest mobile phones can be bought for 10% of the RRP.

If you want these sort of products then the actual wholesale
price isn't as low as you might think. If you make 15% markup
on these products you're really doing quite well. But the good
thing is if you can source these sought after products you wont
have any trouble selling them.

If you want to make a decent amount of money then you're either
going to have to sell lots of branded products (big amounts of
cash required) or find another line of products with a bigger
potential profit. Keep looking back I'll try and list some
ideas for you to look into.

Want to earn some extra money ?

Then buy products at wholesale prices and sell to your friends
or on Ebay for more than you paid for it. Sounds simple ?

It is, when you do the proper research.

Get on with it and let me know how you get on.

Just realised that I should have said that Andy Minalto describes how to build an online presence using mainly Ebay but also gives information on some suppliers he uses.

Taken direct from his sales page:

How to start a successfull eBay business from SCRATCH!

Where to get hot selling products dirt cheap, without paying a penny for wholesale lists or directories.

How to create listings guaranteed to sell MORE products in less time!

MISTAKE responsible for 99% of eBay newbies’ failure!

Wednesday 24 February 2010

If you want to source wholesale products to sell on the likes
of Ebay or even your own website then you need to research
research research.

The reason I say that is because there is so many people saying
that they have access to all sorts of items at 20% of the RRP,
quite simply if someone is telling you this then put your
trainers on and run, before they scam you out of some money.

I'm not saying you can't buy at those sort of prices but in the
main you will not find items or products at these prices especially
if we're talking about branded products. These products are in
high demand and you will not get them at those prices.

There's an old saying:

If it looks or sounds too good to be true, then walk away.
That way you keep your hard earned money safe.

Always check your supplier out thoroughly

A really good forum to visit to find suppliers and discuss whether
they are legit or not is thewholesaleforums.co.uk I have been a
member of that forum for years and you can't find a better place
to find like minded individuals to learn from.

And if your simply looking to learn and buy wholesale then try
this guy Andy Minalto he has a website called easyauctionbusiness
do a search with google or use the link below. A fantastic guy who
can be trusted to deliver what he says, give him a try I think he
provides a money back guarantee.
